BOO Halloween porch decoration

I found a black glittery styrofoam BOO that looked lonely in the dollar bin at Target and decided to add it to the Halloween display on the front porch.  Of course, it needed a little more....so I added the ghost and witch from Happy Haunting to it to make it sufficiently spooky.  The kids are going to add a little fake spider webbing to the porch also (to go along with the REAL spider webs :).    I drew the line at actual fake spiders, however.

Edited to add:  this won the Project of the Week at the BBTB2!!!!

Cricut:
Happy Hauntings-ghost, witch

I'm going to link this to the BBTB2 challenge this week to use the witch and the Fantabulous Cricut challenge to use the ghost.

Happy Birthday to you!

I found this super cool birthday paper at Archiever's, called Simple Stories, that I fell in love with!  The colors are kind of soft and muted, which is perfect since the pics I have planned for this page are kind of dark, even after putting the photo editing software to work.  There will be lots of birthday layouts in the next few months, as all my kids have their parties.  No cricut on this one-it didn't need anything else.

Merry Christmas

I realized my Christmas pics from LAST year are still sitting on my table underneath  everything!  So, a Christmas layout (even though I hate it when the stores put out Christmas stuff before Halloween), using Celebrate with a Flourish.  I'm linking it with the Creative Cutter Room Holiday Tradition challenge, to do a project, using glitter, buttons, and embossing.  I'm embossing everything whether it needs it or not, just because I can, since I got a Big Kick for my birthday!

Boo at the Zoo

Fun times wearing costumes at the Zoo!!!  (Plus candy, of course.)  This was super cool paper, with sort of velvety texture on the witch and haunted house, but I can't remember the line.

Play Hard!

Love the Boys Will Be Boys cart for, well, boys!  So here is a layout using some of the really adorable cuts from it.  It has great titles too!  And two fonts! (Although one of the fonts is really rather difficult to cut...)  OK, my commercial for this cart is over-I just haven't seen a lot of posts using it, when I went looking for ideas after I bought it.   And it's a really fun cart, if you have boys.  And maybe even if you don't!  Sorry my pages didn't photograph very well...you've just gotta love the lizard-he's my fave.

Cricut:
Boys Will Be Boys-all cuts, including title
Paper-Bo Bunny Ad Lib paper (LOVE LOVE LOVE that pack-have used it all up)

Monster Mash

For one of my kid's school Halloween party, the class is having a "Monster Mash" in the gym. Here's my layout for the pics to go on, using Mini Monsters, Formal Occasions (who knew this one had "Monster Mash"?), and my favorite Doodlebug Monster Mania paper!  I used a lot of pop dots to give it some dimension.  I was down to scraps of most of this paper, so it was a bit tricky piecing all it all together strategically to cover the holes!   I've got the black mats ready to add pics after the party.

Cricut:
Mini Monsters-the skeleton, pumpkin man, and ghost
Formal Occasions-Monster Mash title
Paper-Doodlebug Monster Mania
embossing folders, black baker's twine, pop dots

I'm linking this to the TPV challenge to use a recipe of 1 pumpkin (does my pumpkin monster count?), 2 word title, and 3 buttons.

I'm also going to link to the BBTB2 challenge to make a Halloween layout and use purple on the project.  The spiderweb paper is purple in real life, and there are purple dots and stripes.  Some of the purple looks kind of periwinkle in the pictures for some reason.

A Spooky Concert

My son's orchestra is performing "A Spooky Concert" for Halloween.  They will be playing in their Halloween costumes!  I made this layout for the pics, using the Happy Hauntings cart.  I love the vampire font on this cart-perfect for the title.  There is supposed to be a cauldron with dry ice to make smoke at the concert, so I had to get the witch's cauldron on there too-love the purple drippy goo.  (Pretty sure there will be no bats or owls, BUT I just wanted them on my layout.  Artistic license, right?)  The mirror with the hand will be the journaling spot-I try to sneak one of those into every layout.

Cricut:
Happy Hauntings-all cuts except circle
Plaintain Schoolbook-circle
Paper-from my stash
embossing folder
Stickle-distressed lavender, lime green

I'm linking this to the Getting Scrappy Kooky and Spooky challenge this week.
